How does Vested Academics Testing work? What’s the process?

After your free consultation, we will help you book an initial assessment with one of our clinicians—available via phone, video conference, or in person at our Norwell office.

Prior to your initial assessment, our team will ask you to provide documentation you feel will help your clinician prepare for your call and better understand your child.

After your initial assessment, a member of our team will reach out to go over your clinician’s suggestions, schedule your student’s in-person testing, and assist you with any additional paperwork. And, if ever anything comes up, our team will be here to answer your questions, from start to finish, throughout the entire process.

If we schedule a free consultation, are we obligated to purchase testing?

No, not at all. You are under no obligation to move forward with testing after your free consultation, allowing you to take as much time as you’d like to make your decision. That way, when you’re ready to work with our team, you will be as comfortable as you are confident about your decision.

What happens when we’re ready to move forward?

Should you decide to move forward with testing, your family will be assigned a devoted Vested Academics project manager. They will serve as your main point of contact throughout your child’s testing experience at Vested Academics.

Your project manager will walk you through each step of the process, from onboarding to scheduling, report delivery to follow-up conversations with your clinician, serving your family with a higher level of professionalism and customer support.

How long does it take to schedule testing?

We typically schedule testing within 1-2 weeks after your initial assessment. However, the exact date on which your child’s testing is performed and duration of their testing is often dictated by both the type of Testing Package you purchase and complexity of the evaluation.

If you have specific deadlines in mind, we ask that you discuss them with our team prior to moving forward with your purchase. With this approach, we can ensure that not only expectations are addressed but also an agreed-upon deadline is respected.

How long will my child’s testing take?

Most of our clients have their testing completed within 1 or 2, four-hour sessions (i.e., 4-8 hours in total). For many reasons, we often spread out testing sessions that go beyond 4 hours into 2 separate days.

Do you offer expedited testing?

Yes, we do! If you need expedited testing, let our team know during your Free Phone Consultation..

When will we get our report?

One of the most critical parts of the testing process, your child’s report must not only be accurate and methodical but also well-written and easily interpreted. While these types of properties take time to produce, the good news is that Vested Academics prides itself on generating quality psychoeducational reports, focused on highlighting data and interpretations that are relevant in the school setting.

With that said, the production of your report will largely depend on the type of Testing Package you purchase. Please note that this timeline can be affected by several factors, including the complexity of your child’s testing and any additional diagnostic requests.

How much does Vested Academics Testing cost?

» Our Standard Testing Package begins at $3,700
» Expedited testing and reporting are available for an additional fee

Do you offer payment plans? How do they work?

Yes, we do offer payment plans!

Recognizing that your child’s testing is an investment, Vested Academics offers flexible payment plan options to our testing clients from the start. Our team will work with you to find the right payment schedule that fits your testing goals and timeline.

You can learn more about our payment plan options by Booking a Free Phone Consult.

Do you accept insurance coverage?

While we do not accept insurance, we do, however, offer competitive pricing, customized testing packages, and flexible payment plans.

The best way to learn about our payment plan options is to Book a Free Phone Consult.

Do insurance companies always cover testing?

Sometimes, insurance companies offer coverage only when testing is deemed medically necessary (i.e., not for learning-related evaluations). This regularly proves especially frustrating for parents who have waited patiently for 6 months to 1 year to see a neuropsychologist who accepts their insurance, only to later discover that they will have to pay out of pocket for some, if not all, of their child’s testing. Unfortunately, in these situations, months of precious time are often lost.

Recognizing the importance of transparent pricing, Vested Academics offers its testing clients flexible payment options from day one, allowing families to understand their investment, plan ahead, and avoid any unnecessary delays.
