Jennifer Gallagher

Director of College Consulting

Having read and evaluated more than fifteen-thousand undergraduate applications, Jennifer Gallagher has earned an in-depth understanding of the college admissions process during her twenty-year career.

Shortly after receiving a bachelor’s degree in English from Providence College, Jennifer began her professional career as an admissions counselor at Salve Regina University, reviewing applications, interviewing candidates, and participating in recruitment activities. While completing her master’s degree in higher education administration from Boston College, she worked at Boston College’s Career Center Internship Office as a career counselor, providing undergraduate and graduate students with advice on job recruitment and internship placement.

Jennifer would go on to take a position at Northeastern University as an application reader, assisting in the evaluation of thousands of freshman candidates. And, at Regis College, she assumed the role of assistant director of admissions, planning and implementing all aspects of recruitment, overseeing the creation and dissemination of admissions literature, and reviewing applications for first-year applicants.

Working as a private college counselor since 2015, Jennifer offers her clients expert advice in all aspects of the early college planning, college search, and application processes. An avid volunteer, she is actively involved in her children’s schools. After undergoing her own high-risk pregnancy during the birth of her first son, Jennifer has spent the last seventeen years volunteering for Sidelines—a non-profit organization that provides support to women and families experiencing complicated pregnancies and premature births.

When she’s not busy editing admissions essays or researching college lists, Jennifer can be found with her husband and three sons, spending time outdoors, on a family road trip, or soaking up the sun on a long-awaited vacation.
