Undergraduate Coaching
& Finishing Strong

As professional educators, we understand that getting accepted into an undergraduate program is only the beginning. The adjustment from high school to college requires students to adapt to a variety of new experiences quickly. Workloads are intense, deadlines come fast, and there is little room for error. And, with so many new friendships and campus offerings, keeping everything in balance is not an easy task.

From small scheduling changes to rethinking an entire major, undergraduate students need consistent academic guidance throughout all four years of college, too. Although most schools assign faculty members to each student, the quality of support students receive is largely dictated by their advisor’s commitment level, availability, and experience.

Student coaching is ideal for enrolled undergrads. We help our students cope with the ongoing pressures associated with navigating academic administrations, high-stakes exams, and developing a new social network. Our goal is to guide your college student toward healthier choices, manageable schedules, and balanced semesters so they can graduate on time and make the most of their time in school.

Stay on Track

An undergraduate education is always in a state of flux. We keep enrolled college students on track, whether they’re green freshmen or experienced upperclassmen.

Better Choices

Sometimes, seemingly small decisions shape entire academic futures. We help undergrads work through challenges, discuss strategies, and thrive during difficult times.

Take Advantage

A college tuition comes with a lot of perks, many of which students never use. We encourage undergrads to explore campus resources, try internships, and network.

Where Are the Sessions?

We all know that college is a busy time. But, as educators, we also recognize that consistency is necessary for students. That’s why our sessions are held via private video conference. This allows us to meet regularly, build a routine, and adapt to your college student’s hectic schedule. It also means they can receive the support they need in the place that works best for them, whether it’s in their dorm room, library, or off-campus apartment, or even when they’re visiting home.

How Does It Work?

After an initial assessment, we start by meeting with your college student once per week. Over time, as they feel more confident with their choices, schedule, and ongoing challenges, they will need to check-in less and less. However, because undergraduate life isn’t without its curveballs, students can always reach out to us at any time to book a new session. We’re here to guide and support them whenever they need help.

We Keep Undergrads Connected, Updated, & On Track

We send undergrads weekly emails and check-ins via text. Reminders help students prepare for the next session, keep on task, and stay focused on their goals. Our team and your college student’s consultant are here to answer your questions and discuss any concerns you might have, too. Students can always connect with us by email or phone and, as always, via video conference.

Coaching FAQ

How long is each session?

Each undergraduate coaching session lasts thirty minutes. We typically meet three times per week to start and then biweekly once the student feels comfortable.

Will they do well with video conferencing?

We have to give them credit—most young adults are video conferencing virtuosos. Most of the enrolled undergrads who work with us connect to their sessions on their smart phones. In fact, they often find this approach incredibly convenient.

Do you help students with learning differences?

We do help students with learning differences. However, we do ask that you have a free consult with us before we begin working with you. This will allow us to properly assess whether or not our services will be a good fit for your child and their specific needs. And, if for some reason we’re not a perfect match for you, we’ll be more than happy to refer you to someone who can help.
