In working with students and families located in major U.S. cities (Los Angeles, New York City, and Boston) and the international community (China, Korea, Germany, England, and Kenya), Sandra M. Kim has taught, mentored, and provided counsel for diverse populations around the world.

Having earned master’s degrees from Harvard University (M.Ed. Interdisciplinary Art Education), Columbia University (M.Ed. Art Education), and Boston College (M.A. Mental Health Counseling), Sandra is well versed in the admissions processes of both top-tier and competitive private colleges and universities. Her passion, however, lies in empowering students with the knowledge and support they need to achieve their academic, professional, and personal goals, regardless of where they intend on studying.

Sandra’s professional career includes administrative, counseling, and consulting positions at Wellesley College’s Office of Student Life, ASPIRE’s (Asian Sister’s Participating in Reaching Excellence) Youth Leadership Program, Yanbian University of Science and Technology, and several urban outreach initiatives, such as Boston College’s College Bound and Teaching Scholars programs. Currently a member of the American Counseling Association, Northeastern Society of Group Psychotherapy, and Massachusetts Mental Health Counselors Association, Sandra offers her college consulting clients the unique skillsets of a seasoned counselor and an accomplished academic.

An avid kickboxing and Zumba instructor, musical theater performer, and world traveler, Sandra enjoys eating and baking cookies from around the world and sharing them with her young daughter, Lea, and husband, Jonas, a postdoc in computer science at M.I.T.
