Middle School Coaching
& Learning How to Learn

Middle school is an important time. These years give students the chance to learn, practice, and acquire the must-have skills for success in high school before their grades start to matter. And while high grades can build self-confidence in middle schoolers, more emphasis should be placed on teaching each student how to master their own unique learning style rather than on how well they performed on a given test or assignment.

Student coaching ensures middle schoolers are using this valuable time wisely. Providing regular support, we help each of our students understand their individual learning style, develop essential skills, and reinforce good work habits. The main goal is to gradually guide your child toward becoming an independent learner who is ready to perform at the high school level.

Where Are the Sessions?

As experienced educators, we know how busy your school year is. And we also understand how important consistency is for students. That’s why our sessions are held via private video conference. This allows us to meet regularly, build a routine, and adapt to your schedule. It also means your child can receive the support they need in the place that works best for your family, whether it’s at home, school, or anywhere in between.

How Does It Work?

After an initial assessment, we start by meeting with your child for three, thirty-minute sessions per week. Over time, as they gain control of their learning and make better choices, your middle schooler’s self-confidence will begin to rise. And, when the timing is right, we’ll start to reduce the frequency of our sessions. This encourages your child to use what they’ve learned and further develop their independence.

We Always Keep Parents Updated & Informed

We send parents weekly email updates to report progress, make suggestions, and outline goals. And parents can always connect with us by email or phone and, as needed, via video conference. Our team and your child’s consultant are here to answer your questions and discuss any concerns you might have. We’re here to support your family step of the way.

Middle School
Coaching FAQ

How long is each session?

Each middle school coaching session lasts thirty minutes. We typically meet three times per week with each student. Keeping the sessions short maximizes focus and ensures we can provide the consistent structure needed to form new habits.

Will my child do well with video conferencing?

In our experience, most young students do well with video conferencing. But, in the beginning, it can be helpful to have a parent nearby until the student becomes comfortable with the process.

Do you help students with learning differences?

We do help students with learning differences. However, we do ask that you have a free consult with us before we begin working with you. This will allow us to properly assess whether or not our services will be a good fit for your child and their specific needs. And, if for some reason we’re not a perfect match for you, we’ll be more than happy to refer you to someone who can help.

How do I request more information?

“My daughter just struggles with organization. Checking in a few times a week before her homework time jogged her memory and helped her prioritize. And the video chats work well…one less drive for us is great!”
