Job Summary
Offering strategic advice, professional consulting, and thorough representation, our Educational Advocates guide client families through all steps of the IEP and 504 Plan processes, including drafting correspondence and interpreting educational evaluations.

General Responsibilities
- Provide client families with professional consulting services in person and via phone and video conference
- Coordinate with team members, provide advocacy support, and ensure student learning goals are appropriate
- Conduct independent research outside of client sessions
Basic Qualifications
ALL applicants MUST BE MASSACHUSETTS RESIDENTS
ALL applicants must successfully pass state and national background checks
ALL applicants must have a Master’s degree in education or related field
ALL applicants must have:
- 5 years or more of special education experience
- Excellent work references
- Outstanding communication skills
- Fluency in English
Educational Requirements
Candidates must possess a master’s degree in education or a related field
Additional Prerequisites
- Must be able to attend school meetings virtually and, occasionally, in person
- Five or more years of professional work experience that demonstrates the skills necessary to apply for this position
- Solid understanding of IEP procedures, parent and student rights, school discipline procedures, and how to review and interpret school and private educational evaluations
- Excellent negotiation and verbal communication skills
- Strong writing skills and a basic understanding of the grammar, punctuation, and style choices used in the business setting.
- Possess the experience, humility, and tact necessary to work ethically and professionally with a diverse clientele
- Possess the technical and professional skills required to work remotely, including attending meetings
- Outstanding verbal communication skills, especially when communicating with parents, students, and colleagues or facilitating meetings
- Possess a high degree of professionalism, expertise, and the maturity to reach out to others for input and advice
- The ability to tactfully negotiate complicated family dynamics while upholding accepted professional and ethical standards
